Mrs. Minnie Millard Olson, formerly of Soldier, Iowa, died at Elmwood Nursing Home at Onawa, Iowa, on May 25, 1982, following a long illness. She had reached the age of 88 years and 23 days.

Born at Dunlap, Iowa, on May 3, 1894, she was the daughter of Steven Millard and Lena Summerfield Millard. Prior to her marriage to Richard Olson on December 22, 1913, she was a school teacher in a country school near Dunlap. Mr. Olson died in 1957. She had resided at Elmwood Nursing Home the past three years. She was a member of the Soldier Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Frank (Arla) Wilson of Dunlap, one grandson, Richard Wilson of Chesapeake, Virginia; and one sister, Mrs. Lester (Lillian) Neilson of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Candice Ruby.

Graveside Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 1982, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Dunlap, Iowa with Elder Bryce Argotsinger officiating. Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa.
