Delores Marie Thomsen, 62, Sioux City, retired J.S. Penny Co. employee, died Friday in Phoenix Ariz. where she was visiting for the winter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Third Presbyterian Church. The Rev. E.D. Pappadackis will officiate, Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery .

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Thomsen, the former Delores Marie Greenough, was born Feb. 23, 1922, on a farm near Mapleton, Iowa. She moved to Sioux City with her parents as a child and attended Sioux City Public schools. She married Harry C Thomsen Sept. 2, 1939, in Sioux City. She was employed at the J.C. Penny Store for several years, retiring in 1979.

Mrs. Thomsen was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and on the Board of Deaconesses. She was active in the Franklin Elementary School PTA.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dennis E. of Sumner, Iowa; a daughter, Marsha Dobson of Glendale, Ariz.; her mother, Mary Greenough of Sioux City; two sisters Marjorie Norton of Sioux City and Darlene Spencer of Minneapolis and four grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in her name with the Third Presbyterian Church.
