Mrs. Maria Olson: Died January 2nd

Mrs. Maria Olson, a resident of Glasco, Kansas until last September, when she came to Onawa to make her home with her sister, Mrs. Lena Moltsau passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2nd.

Mrs. Olson has been a patient at the Onawa hospital for the past two weeks. She was born October 13, 1868 at Beloit, Wisc., and at the time of her death was 85 years of age, She had been a pioneer resident of Glasco, Kansas. A member of the Lutheran church and Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her son Alvin, of Vancouver, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. Lena Moltsau of Onawa , and Mrs. Gunda Olson of Ute, Iowa.: 2 grandchildren; a number of other relatives and friends. Her husband and one son, Miles, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the home of Sadies Wilson and Mrs. Moltsau with Rev. Fitzgerald officiating.

Further services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church in Glasco with burial in the cemetery there.

Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home.
