Mrs. Arthur Trowbridge, Whiting, Iowa, age 71, died on March 14, 1982, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.

Born Rose Marie Knight on April 5, 1910, at East Lynn, Illinois, she was the daughter of Jesse Knight and Lulu Baker Knight. She was married to Arthur Trowbridge on December 31, 1943, at South Sioux City, Nebraska. She had resided at Whiting for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur, now in the Dunlap Nursing Home; two sons, Bob Mortenson of Onawa and Dick Mortenson of Everett, Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Heath and Mrs. Richard (Charmaine) Ingram, both of Whiting; a granddaughter, Sherry, who was raised by Mrs. Trowbridge; one sister, Mrs. Florence Reed of Sioux City, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1982, at the Wood Funeral Home, Whiting, Iowa, with Robert Butt, Evangelist, officiating. The organist was Mrs. Dan Neldeberg and the soloist, Dan Neldeberg, sang, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Abide With Me”.

Casket bearers were David Cooper, Dale Cooper, Charles Mortensen, Alan Nagel, Robert Tiemann, Jr., and Robert Richardson.

Interment was in the Hite Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa, with arrangements by Wood Funeral Home, Whiting, Iowa.
