Maxine Ruth Rodman, 78, of Onawa, died Saturday, August 26, 2000 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa.

Maxine was born August 22, 1922 in Council Bluffs, the daughter of Ray and Lulu (McIntosh) Goodman. She was a longtime resident of Monona County. She married Thomas Jefferson Warren and later married James "Art" Rodman.

She farmed, worked in the laundry department at Burgess Memorial Hospital and served as matron and jailer at Monona County Law Enforcement Center from 1980 to 1998.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Onawa.

Survivors include her son, Larry Warren of Onawa; 5 grandchildren, Barb Skarin and her husband Ron, Jason, Darin and his wife Michelle, Eric and Todd Warren and 6 grandchildren, Dustin, Dacia, Dane, Destinee, Bnjamin Lawrence and Nicholas Warren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Jefferson Warren and several brothers and sisters.

Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2000 at Rush Family Chapel, Onawa with Pastor Steven Hetzel of Faith Lutheran Church, Onawa officiating. Ruth Jordan, organist, played "Amazing Grace" and "Abide With Me". Burial was in the Onawa Cemetery.
