30 April 1998Onawa, Iowa--Robert "Bobby" Steele Gray, 19, of Onawa died Monday, April 27, 1998, near Salix Iowa.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with Pastor Donald R. Ludwick officiating. Burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Gray was born April 8, 1979 in Sioux City, the son of Harold "Otis" and Vicki (Thelander) Gray. He graduated from West Monona High School in Onawa in May 1997. He was currently attending Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb.
He was a member of the 185th Fighter Wing of the Iowa Air National Guard and the Enlisted Association of the National Guarn of Iowa.
He was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Abby Jo of Onawa; grandparents, Jack and Evelyn Hall, Berniece Miller and Earl and Hope Thelander, all of Onawa and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys; and his grandfather, Sam.
