Onawa, Iowa--Rex O Seitzinger, 67, prominant area agribusiness leader, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1993, at the Onawa hospital after a long illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Onawa with the Rev. Steven C Hetzel officiating. Burial will be in the Onawa Cemetery with Masonic rites by Vesper Lodge 223 AF&AM. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 6 p.m. at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mr. Seitzinger was born June 12, 1926 in Blencoe, the son of Bert and Stella (Nielsen) Seitzinger. He graduated from Blencoe High School in 1944 and served with the US Navy as a signalman first class. He attended Iowa State University. On June 26, 1946, he married Ardis Eskelsen. He was a farmer for many years in Monona County. He was co-founder and owener of SPS Inc from 1954 to 1985. He was owner and founder of Ag Supply from 1985 until his death..

Mr. Seitzinger was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Vester Masonic Lodge 223 AF&AM, Abu Bekr Shrine Temple having served as potentate in 1973. He was an active member of the White Horse Mounted Patrol and past president of the Wrecking Crew. He was a member of ROJ Iowa Irrigation Association and Stevens-Kelly Post 665, American Legion of Blencoe.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Carole Crawford of Fountain Hills, Ariz, Jill and her husband, Herb Peters of San Diego, Calf., Kelly and her husband Raymond Keller of Rapid City, SD; three sons, Mark and his wife Kathy of Hartington, Neb., Tim and his wife Tammy of Yankton, SD and John Todd of Tempe, Ariz; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers and their wives, Bert Edward and Jeanette of Onawa and Franklin and Bonnie of Omaha, and a sister, Marjorie Peterson and her husband, Maurice of Hanover, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
