Moorhead, Iowa--Jerry Yanak, 70, of Moorhead, died Friday at a Omaa hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa. Maurice Lunda will officiate. Burial will be in Grant Township Cemetery in rural Rodney. Visitation will be after noon today at the funeral home.

Mr. Yanak was born Jan 13, 1918, in South Omaha, Nebr. He moved to Onawa with his parents in 1912. He married Vonda Peiffer April 28, 1935, in Whiting, Iowa. He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II. The couple moved to Moorhead in 1951.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Beberly) Andrews of Moorhead, Mrs. Grant (Barbara) Mann of Turin, Iowa, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) McGuire of Cincinnati, Ohio and Joleen Haynes of Onawa, Iowa; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Eugene Sr. and Dorothy of Clarence, Iowa; three brothers, Fred and Joe of Onawa and Frank of Whiting; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry, Jeremy and Richard Yanak, and Neal, Leo and Terry Mann, Donald Ingram and Scott Johnson.
