Minnesota Meacham Todd, was born in Genesee County, New York, September 13th, 1850 and passed away at her home 726 South Commercial Street, Inglewood, California, Wednesday, April 6th, 1921 aged 71 years 6 months and 24 days.

When five years of age the deceased moved with her parents to Ohio were she lived until about 1870. She then went to Illinois where she was married to Quinton Todd October 15th 1874. To this union seven children were born, one son having died in infancy. Five sons, Horace M. of Mexico New York, Herbert J of Portland, Oregon, Emery E and A. Garfield of Onawa, Iowa, Rolin Q. of St Paul, Minnesota, one daughter, Beulah Ann of Gardner, Colorado with their father survive the good and faithful wife and kind and loving mother.

She is also survived by five daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, two brothers, D.L. Meacham of Lafayette, Indiana, H.J. Meacham of Decatur, Illinois, and one sister, Mrs Emily Ater of Williamsport, Ohio.

About thirty-nine years ago Mr. and Mrs. Todd with three children moved to Onawa, Iowa where the rest of the children were born. They lived in this vicinity until nine years ago when they, with their daughter, Beulah come to Inglewood.

Mrs. Todd became a Christian and united with the Methodist Church when sixteen years of age. Since she has ever been a true worker in His causes better known of, perhaps by the members of her own family, as her health has not permitted active church work the last few years. She was also a member of Ellise Rebekah Lodge of Onawa, Iowa.

She realized that she would soon go to her Heavenly Home and every detail was carried out just as she wished it.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 O’clock, April 8th, 1921 at the Inglewood Park cemetery chapel by Rev. E. Sedweek a former pastor of Inglewood First M.E. Church.

“Nearer My God to Thee” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere” were very sweetly sung by Mrs. A.H. Badenoch.

A number of relatives and friends from out of town were present.

The pallbearers were George Howard and M.A. Marley of Los Angeles, O.P. and Claude Allen of Inglewood, all former Iowa neighbors.

Mrs. Todd’s death marks the passing of an admirable women and a most devoted wife and mother.
