Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 8, 1957, at 1 p.m. at the Onawa Congregational church for Mrs. Orra M. True with Rev, Edwin C Burlingame officiating. Mrs, Darlaine Jensen gave comfort in song accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Clara Kelley. Casket bearers were Willard Oliver, Wayne Virtue, Clarence Mathiasen, Robert Underhill, Harold Persinger and Joe DeWaele.

Interment was at the Onawa Cemetery and the arrangements were under the direction of the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Mrs. Orra M. True of Onawa was born at Burr Oak, Mich. On July 8, 1872. She died at a Sioux City hospital on Tuesday, June 4, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 26 days. Mrs. True was a graduate of the Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, Iowa and taught in the rural schools of Monona County as well as several high schools over the state.

She had been a resident of Onawa, since 1939 and was a generour and faithful member of the First Congregational church of Onawa.She was also a member of the Queen Esther Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the G.A.R. Society of Onawa. Before her sickness, she was host to several social events in her home.

She was married to Fred True in 1902. He preceded her in death some years ago.

Survivors include a brother, James Bordner of Onawa, Iowa and Portland, Oregon also a number of nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
