Minnie Emilie Voss, a resident of Onawa, Iowa, passed away on January 22, 1975, at the Burgess Memorial Hospital at Onawa, Iowa. She had reached the age of 79 years, 10 months and 18 days. Mrs. Voss was born on March 4, 1895, at Charter Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Anna Ackelbein Bockelman.

On January 20, 1915, she was united in marriage to August Voss at Charter Oak, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Voss celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on January 20, 1965. They lived on a farm near Pisgah, Iowa, until 1945, when they moved to Onawa, Iowa.

Mrs. Voss was baptized and confirmed by A.A. Amstein of St John’s Church at Charter Oak, Iowa. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Onawa, Iowa.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Lena) Aronson of Charter Oak, Iowa and Mrs. Walter (Laurenea) Hinrichsen of Timnath, Colorado and a number of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bockelman, her husband, August Voss who passed away December 4, 1967. One brother, William and one sister, Dora Pitham, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held January 22, 1975 at the Faith Lutheran Church, Onawa, Iowa, with the Rev. Quentin Quanbeck officiating. Mrs. Robert Hewitt was the organist, Evan Davies sang “Asleep in Jesus” and “My Jesus As Thou Wilt”. Bearers were Herman Bockelman,m Albin Bockelman, Murlyn Aronson, William Bockelman, Jr., Harry Voss Jr. and Ferdinard Kiepe.

Interment was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Charter Oak, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa.
