Minnie Harris 1899-1972

Minnie Harris was born in Mills County near Malvern, Iowa, on March 1, 1899 to Robert N and Sarah Louisa Nicholsen, and passed away on May 1, 1972 at the age of 73 years 2 months.
With her family of 4 brothers and 1 sister, she moved to a farm south of Moorhead where she spent her childhood. She was united in marriage to Delbert Harris on Feb 19, 1919 at the Methodist Parsonage in Onawa, Iowa. To this union 5 children were born; Claire of Onawa, Maxine Griffith of Pisgah and Maynard of Moorhead. Two sons passed away shortly after birth. Her parents and 3 brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors besides her children are the daughters-in-law, son-in-law, 11 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Ruth Lines of Sioux City and one brother, Harvey Nicholson of Castana.

Minnie was a member of the Moorhead Christian Church and Royal Neighbors Lodge and leaves a host of friends in the Moorhead Community.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday May 3, 1972 at 1:30 P.M. at the Christian CHurch at Moorhead, Iowa with Rev M Dwight, officiating. Magnus Jepson sang "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and :Abide With Me" accompanied by Mrs Wayne Outhouse.

Bearers were William A Griffith, Robert D Griffith, Rex S Harris, Phillip C Harris, Steven C Harris and Thomas D Harris. Interment was in Spring Valley Cemetery at Moorhead, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa
