Mrs. Kathryn M Rounsborg was born at Grinnell, Iowa on March 9, 1884 and passed from this life in the Moss Nursing Home in Onawa, Iowa on March 28, 1972. Death came at the age of 88 years.

Mrs Rounsborg was a life long resident of this community. On September 24, 1903 she was united in marriage with Soren Rounsborg at Turin, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1950.Early in life she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church, after moving into Onawa she was associated with the First Christian Church. She was a member of the L.S.E. at Turin, Iowa.
She was a very kind and gracious person and was always most appreciative of the least little attension.

Survivors include her three daughters, Mrs. Vern (Eva) Rounds of Onawa, Mrs. Marion (Gretchen) Peterson of Kansas City, Mo and Mrs. Hazel Roehlke of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Ralph Hunter of Yuma, Colo. and Mrs. Gertrude Donahue of Harlan, Iowa and one brother, William Baker of Sioux City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 30, 1972 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev Everett Epperson officiating. Bonita Bachman sang “The Lords Prayer” accompanied by Kathryn Johnston. Bearers were John Johnston, Harold Ravnsborg, Orville Ravnsborg, Arthur Peterson, Kermit Ravnsborg and Joe Jackson.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
