Illness Fatal To Mrs Nathan Steinberg

Mrs. Rachel Steinberg, 77, of 3106 Duncan Street, St Joseph, Mo. Died Friday morning, December 10th at a St Joseph Hospital following a short illness. She was admitted to the hospital on Thhursday, December 9th.

A native of Poland, Mrs Steinberg had resided in St Joseph since coming from Onawa, Iowa in 1955. She was the widow of Nathan Steinberg, who died in June 1962. Her parents were the late Leo Ticke and Esther Shafron.

Mrs Steinberg was a member of B’Naj Sholem Temple, B’Nat Sholem Sisterhood, B’Nai B’Brith Women and Hadassah.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Esther Steinberg at home and Mrs Grace Day, St Joseph; a son Harry Steinberg, St Joseph and three grandchildren. Another son Leo Steinberg died in 1934.

Services were conducted under the direction of Meierhoffer-Fleeman Mortuary.
