Gladys Robinson was born November 3, 1900 in Onawa, Iowa and passed from this life in the Burgess Memorial Hospital on May 1, 1972. Death came at the age of 71 years.

She was united in marriage with Wayne Robinson in 1927, he preceded her in death in 1935.
Gladys served as a teacher in the public schools in South Sioux City for a number of years and then took this same position with the Onawa School where she served until failing health forced her retirement.

She was an active member of the First Christian Church of Onawa; having served as superintendent of the Bible School and as Bible School teacher for several years. She also held membership in the Order of Eastern Star of Onawa and held the honor of Past Worthy Matron of the Chapter.
Survivors include her one sister, Mrs Jennie McElwain of Blencoe, three brothers, George Burger of Onawa, Charles Burger of Blencoe and William Burger of Mason City, Iowa and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 1972 at the First Christian Church in Onawa, Iowa with Rev Everett Epperson officiating. Organ music was provided by Clara Kelley.

Bearers were Fred Beedle, Clifford Young, Joe Jackson, James Collison, Wayne Gries, and Gary Kendall. Interment was in the Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
