William (Butch) Christensen

William (Butch) Christensen, the son of Mrs Ray Anderson of Whiting was born Jan 24th, 1938 in Sioux City and passed away December 22, 1971 in Alameda, Calf at the age of 33 years.

Butch attended Whiting School until 1955 and he entered the Navy and served two years. The past fifteen years he worked as a Boilermaker for Bethlehem Steel Co. of Alameda, Calf.

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Anthon Christensen, He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, his stepfather Ray Anderson, other relatives and friends.

Services were held at the Christian Church in Whiting, December 26th at 11 a.m. with Rev Richard Lankford officiating. Mrs. Ora Lee Skidmore, vocalist with Mrs. Nancy Linden, organist. Burial was in the Hite Cemetery with arrangements by the Wood Funeral Home of Whiting. Casket bearers were Jerry Snodgrass, Don Richardson, Deone and Thorne Rowe and Merlin and Charles Myers.
