BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Leverne "Dobbin" Halcomb, 75, of Brookings died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2006, at Avera McKennan Hospital Hospice in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Whiting Christian Church in Whiting, Iowa. Burial will be in Hite Cemetery, rural Whiting, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be noon until service time Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.
