Evans Edward Woodward, the youngest son of Rolla D and Amy Jane Woodward was born July 2, 1912 and died at Maple Heights Nursing Home March 21, 1970, having reached the age of 57 years, eight months and 19 days.

Except for the past few months at the nursing home his entire life was spent on the farm where he was born. He was an active member in community affairs, held responsible positions over the years and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs Glenn (Lavinia) Miller of Ticonic; two brothers, Vinton L of Ticonic and Mark T of Minneapolis; a brother-in-law, Albert Blakely; and a sister-in-law Mrs Russell Woodward.

Services were held Tuesday, March 24, 1970 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church at Ticonic, Iowa with Rev John Schlosser officiating.

Burial was in Grant Township Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Skow, Paul Cox, Loren Blakey, Orlo Johnson, Richard Reed and Vernon Heisler.
