Services Held For Edward John Hartigan

Edward John Hartigan, son of Daniel and Margaret Higgins Hartigan, was born March 6, 1899 at Ute, Iowa. He died on December 26, 1976 at Sioux City after reaching the age of 77 years, 9 months, and 20 days.

Edward lived his entire life-time in the Ute Community. He worked at the Martin's Seed Store. He was a member of the St Mary's Catholic Church.

Services were held on Tuesday, December 28, 1976 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Ute at 10:30 a.m. with Rev Gene Walding officiating. Burial was in the St Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Michael Flynn, Darrell Flynn, Clayton Rude, Terry Rude, Matt Hartigan, Jr and Wm Petersen.

Survivors include one brother, Daniel of Ute; three sisters, Mrs Edward (Mary) Bretthauer of Ute, Mrs Margaret Torgerson of Ute and Mrs Marcella Larsen of Salix; nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters
