Funeral services for Mrs John Templeton, 82, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 10 at the Whiting Congregational church. Rev William Heins officiated and burial was in the Whiting Cemetery under the direction of the Wood funeral home.

Mrs Templeton, former librarian here for many years, died Friday, October 7 at Burgess Memorial hospital in Onawa after a long illness.

The former Cora Brown, she was born September 21, 1884 at Whiting. She was married to Mr. Templeton on June 1, 1909 at Sioux City. He died in 1964 at Whiting.

a lifelong Whiting resident, she was a member of the Congregation Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Jerry Coleman of St Paul, MInn and Mrs C A McVay of Eureka Springs, Ark; a sister Mrs Emma Stuart of Sioux City and two grandsons
