Pauline E "Peg" Yanak, 68, of Onawa, Iowa, died Friday, March 29, 1996 at Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mrs Yanak was born May 23, 1927, in rural Macy, NE, the daughter of Henry and Nora (Stevens) Green. On November 29, 1944, she married Fred Yanak in Nebraska City, NE.

She enjoyed working on various crafts and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Fred "Fritz" Yanak of Onawa; three sons, David and his wife, Ruby, Mitchell and his wife, Theresa, and Jeff, all of Onawa; five grandsons, Ruben, Jeffrey, Tony, Jason and Andrew; three sisters, Margaret Rodman, Joann Baldwin and Kay Boggs all of Sioux City; four brothers, Charles and his wife, Carolyn, Jim and his wife, Terry, Bill and his wife, Ann, and Gerald all of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joe Green.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m., April 1, 1996, at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa with Pastor Donald R Ludwick officiating. The organist was Mrs Vince Phillips and the soloist, Mrs Fred Gibson, sang the selections, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "One Day At A Time".

Casket Bearers were Joe Yanak, Jr., Frank Yanak, Jr, Dean Funkhouser, Tony Yanak, Glen Green and Mike Butler.

Interment was in Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa
