Evelyn D. Wagoner, age 70 of Seward, Nebraska died Friday, December 24, 2004 in Seward.

Services were held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton with Pastor Fred Pilecki officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton. Marie Whiteing was the organist and soloist. Music included "The Old Rugged Cross" and "I'll Be Home For Christmas".

Evelyn Donna Wagoner was born March 18, 1934, at Battle Creek, Iowa, the daughter of Reese and Lulu (Taylor) Spaulding. She graduated from the Danbury High School in 1951. Evelyn worked as a hospital nurse's aid.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Janitta and James Arehart of Franklin, Nebraska, Lucinda and Dale Pedersen of Seward, Nebraska, and Laurie and Bernell Scheele of Utica, Nebraska; one brother and his wife, Roger and Lois Spaulding of Battle Creek, Iowa; one sister and her husband, Susie and Carl Maas of Mapleton, Iowa; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Spaulding.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton.
