Allie L. Bouslaugh, 97, Whiting, Iowa, formerly of Onawa, Iowa, died Friday, July 8, 2005 at Pleasant View Care Center, Whiting, Iowa, surrounded by her Pleasant View Family.

Allie was born December 19, 1907 in Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis I. and Charolette (Heisler) Zediker. She married Floyd F. Bouslaugh September 12, 1928 at Onawa, Iowa. The couple lived in Onawa and raised Floyd's four children and their son Jack O'Neal Bouslaugh.

Allie found great joy in caring for others and in later years cared for her sisters, Mary and Frances. She continued to care for Frances in Frances' home where a special friend, Sylvia Davis was their devoted care giver.

She loved gardening and growing flowers, especially roses, and also treated all her friends with her delicious cooking and baking.

Survivors include a sister, Frances Kenley of Whiting; three grandchildren, Don Bouslaugh and his wife Ann of Ankeny, Iowa, Jacklyn and her husband, Raymond Gehrke of Long Beach, Washington and Carole Bouslaugh of Edmunds, Washington; seven great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, Jack O'Neal Bouslaugh; four step children, Robert, Ernest, Alice and Clifford; a granddaughter, Audrey Gieger; a great-granddaughter, Elise; four brothers, Harry, Orville, Roy and William and two sisters, Edith, in infancy, and Mary Daniels.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Rush Family Care Service, Onawa with Rev. Don Collison officiating. Music selections were "In The Garden" and "Blessed Assurance" with Wendy Mitchell, soloist and Nancy Brenden, oganist. Burial was in Heisler Cemetery, Mapleton. Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Casket bearers were Bryan Bouslaugh, Donnie Bouslaugh, Robert Skelton, Robert Brink, Tom Rich and Ron Hodgins.
