Molly V. Elliott, age 88 of Ute, Iowa, died Friday, August 26, 2005 at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30 at the United Methodist Church in Charter Oak with Pastor Ken Baughman officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery, Ute. Connie Bridgeman was the organist for the service and music was "Amazing Grace", "How Great Thou Art" and "Jesus, I Love Thee". A prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Ute.

Molly Virginia Elliott was born in Sioux City, Iowa on February 19, 1917. She was the daughter of Helmer and Louise (Trogstad) Hemnes.

Molly married Timothy Fischer Elliott in Sioux City on August 1, 1936. They were together for 63 years before Tim passed away on September 17, 1999.

Molly spent many years working with 4-H children. She was active in the Ute United Methodist Church and was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

While in South Dakota, she worked for Rushmore Mutual Life Insurance Company. In her early 20's she worked for Westinghouse Corporation.

Molly lived in various states such as Iowa, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Tennessee. She and Tim resided in Ute, Iowa for 34 years prior to moving to Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa for the past seven years.

Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law, Dr. Gerald Baysore.

She is survived by her two daughters; Alyce Grabe and her husband, Ronald of Homewood, Illinois and Mary Lacy of Sioux City, Iowa; four grandchildren, James Turner of Karlsruhe, Germany, Janet Turner of Des Moines, Iowa, Mark Baysore and his wife, Diane, of Mansfield, Illinois, and Jennifer Senhen and her husband, Neil, of Ida Grove, Iowa; nine great grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, Joshua, Tasha, Belinda, Vanessa, Dutch, Zachary and Tristian; and one great great granddaughter, Abriana (Scooterbug).

Pallbearers were Gary Pohlman, Randy Weed, Raymond Burroughs, Neil Senhen, Dale Armstrong and Bo Fox.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Ute.
