Jean May (Scheer) Watson, daughter of Edwin and May, was on December 31, 1946 on the family farm in Mapleton, Iowa. She died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 28, 2005 in Liberty, Missouri.

Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. August 31 at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St., Kansas City, Missouri. Burial was at Mt. Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery.

She was raised with older brother Wayne and younger brother Daryl. She graduated high school from Maple Valley High in 1965 and from Stewart's Beauty School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1966.

She married Howard C. Watson of Mission, South Dakota on September 3, 1967. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa, through 1987 when they moved to Liberty, Missouri. Jean was employed by Travel Unlimited in Liberty and a was member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and May and her brother, Wayne. She is survived by husband, Howard of the home and employed by American Airlines; daughter Kerrie and her sons, Mitchel and Devin of Kansas City; daughter Lisa Todd and husband Daniel of Parkville with their children, Madison and William; daughter Lori and her children, Derone and Shianne of Liberty; brother Daryl and wife, Connie of Mapleton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
