Madison L. Barber, age 2 of rural Mapleton, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at her home.

Services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31 at the United Methodist Church in Smithland with Pastor Karen Handke officiating. Burial was in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland. Ardith Armour was the organist and Myron Armour was the soloist. He sang, "Jesus Loves Me".

Madison Lee Barber was born December 18, 2003 at Sioux City, the daughter of William Barber, Sr. and Stephanie (Jensen) Barber. Madison enjoyed playtime with her brother and sister as well as watching the cows. She loved her shoes and had a silly way of dancing and giggling. Although she kept her parents running, she also showed her Mom and Dad about the meaning of life.

Those left to cherish their loving memories of Madison include her Dad and Mom, William Sr. and Stephanie Barber; two brothers, William, Jr. and Jacob; one sister, Hailey; her paternal grandparents, Rex and Mary Barber and her maternal grandparents, Vernon and Karen Jensen along with other close relatives.

Pallbearers were William Barber, Sr., Vernon Jensen, Dominic Barber and David Jensen.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Mapleton.
