Albin Bockelmann, age 87 of Mountain Home, Idaho, died Thursday, March 2, 2006.

Memorial services will be held in July at St. John's Lutheran Church in Charter Oak, Iowa.

Albin was born on February 2, 1919, in Ute, Iowa, to William and Emma Bockelmann. He married Ruth Irene Philo on August 18, 1940. Albin began his career as a teacher and coach, after receiving his bachelor's degree from Northern Iowa University. He then served as a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He retired from the Kellogg Company in Omaha after 26 years as Director of Personnel and Industrial Relations. Albin enjoyed entertaining family and friends with is accordion and harmonica, and was always ready for a game of golf.

Albin is survived by son Dan and wife Linda of Leavenworth, Washington, daughter, Suzanne Van Zee and husband Lloyd, of Mountain Home, Idaho; three granddaughters, one grandson, eight great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Survivors also include brothers William Bockelmann of Corning, Iowa, Herman Bockelmann of Mapleton, Iowa and one sister, Arlene Kiepe of Mapleton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one brother.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, Idaho.
