Memorial services for Dorothy Ruth Champion, 81, are going to be held on Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 525 Geisinger Rd.., Storm Lake, Iowa. Burial will be at a later time at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home, Storm Lake, are in charge of arrangements.

She died September 27, at Methodist Manor Nursing Home, Storm Lake.

Dorothy was born October 3, 1922 to Ray and Kate (Clausen) Champion at Mapleton. She attended school near Mapleton and moved to a farm near Albert City in 1944. Dorothy lived and worked in the home health care service in Storm Lake for many years.

Dorothy was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed sharing the hope and comfort the Bible gives with others. Dorothy loved Jehovah's creation of plants and had a soft heart for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy, Howard and Elmer; one sister, Edna Champion; a niece, Joan Lewis; and a sister-in-law, Franza Champion.

Survivors include a niece Gloria Champion of Onawa; Don Lewis, the husband of her former niece Joan of Battle Creek; plus other relatives and many friends.
