Lucinda "Cyndi" Mary Mordhorst, 53, of Sioux City died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel with the Rev. Dan Doren officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery in Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mordhorst was born Dec. 7, 1947, in Sioux City, the daughter of Marvin "Mike" and Irene (Coyle) Hansel. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School in 1966. She married Douglas Mordhorst on March 3, 1979, in Sioux City. She was employed with Zenith, Morningside Pizza, and most recently was a bus driver for Sioux City Public Schools.

She enjoyed reading, drawing and collecting dolls and antiques.

Survivors include her husband; a foster daughter, Barbara Brewer of Sioux City; a daughter, Amy Mordhorst of Sioux City; two sons, Travis Mordhorst of Sioux City, and Troy and his wife, Rhonda Mordhorst of Sioux City; three granddaughters, Taylor, Delaney and Ramsey Mordhorst; three brothers and their wives, Mike and Sharon Hansel, Pat and Audrey Hansel, and Brent and Connie Hansel, all of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Carla and Bob Oehler of Onawa, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Audie Baughman, Steve Chartier, T.J. Coyle, Scott Beckwith, David Sawyer and Obe Sawyer.
