IDA GROVE, Iowa -- Glennis A. Daniels, 73, of Ida Grove was called home Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove, with the Rev. Russ L. Burnett officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Grant Township Cemetery, rural Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. today at Christensen-Huffman Funeral Home in Ida Grove.

Born April 29, 1932, in Buckner, Mo., Glennis A. Daniels was the daughter of Glen V. and Erma (Hewitt) Ford. She grew up and received her education in Rodney.

On July 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Earl "Jack" Daniels. The couple made their home in Mapleton, Iowa, for several years. In the early 1950s, they settled in Ida Grove, where they raised their family of three children.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She had an extensive bell collection and in earlier years enjoyed dancing and quilting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include three children, Rickey (Ila) Daniels of Boone, Iowa, Leonard Daniels of Ida Grove, and Sherry (Ray) Wimmer of Herculaneum, Mo.; a granddaughter, Mindy (Bruce) Kimbro of Cantonment, Fla.; and a brother, Scot (Kathy) Ford of South Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1979; her parents; two brothers, Dale Hall and Ross Ford; and an infant sister, Margot Ford.
