Albert Hartleben Buried Friday
Seventy-four Year Old Pioneer, Ill for Several Months Dies at Hospital

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Methodist Church in Danbury for Albert F Hartleben, 74 year old pioneer resident of the Danbury community, who passed away in the Sioux City clinical osteopathic hospital on Wednesday, August 24.

Rev Leonard Rowse, pastor of the Methodist Church in Danbury officiated. Special music was furniched by Mrs Raymond Clark and Miss Evelyn Drenkhahn, Mrs C . R.S. Anderson of Danbury was accompanist.

John Lill, Harvey Herrington, Racy Zediker, Walter Otto, Clarence Lill of Lake View and Homer Spaulding of Battle Creek were pall bearers.

Albert Frederick Hartleben, son of Louis and Fredericka Hartleben was born in Germany, July 4, 1839. In 1870 he came with his parents to America settlling in Clinton county and lived there until 1880 when the family moved to Monona County.

Mr Hartleben was married in 1901 to Miss Della Fouts and to this union two children, Freda and Louis were born.

He has been making his home for several years and his son Louis Hartleben near Danbury.
He is survived by the two children, Mrs Freda Kinney and Louis; two grandchildren, Marilyn and Billy Hartleben and two sisters, Mrs Eric Messenbrink of Battle Creek and Mrs William Kroll of Mapleton.
