Mrs Carlena Lille Dies Monday
82 Year Old Resident Passes Away At Home After Long Illness

Funeral services were held in the Evangelical Church Thursday afternoon at 2 O'clock for Mrs Carlena Lille, 82 year old Mapleton resident who passed away Monday evening at her home after a lingering illness.

Rev Elmer G Otte, pastor of the church was in charge of the services and burial was in the Hartleben cemetery under the direction of the Byers Funeral home.

Mrs Elmer G Otte and Mrs Earl Jacobs sang. Mrs Robert Kahrs was accompanist.

Carlena Johanna Ladendorf was born September 20, 1861 in Germany. She came with her parents to Clinton County, Iowa, when she was seven years old. She was married to Henry Lille on March 17, 1880 and they came to Crawford County in 1881. To them six children were born. One child died in infancy and Mr Lille preceded her in death in 1908.

She is survived by two sons, Gus Lille and Albert Lille of Mapleton and three daughters, Mrs Clara Dettmann and Mrs Detlef (Hilda) Laumbach of Mapleton and Mrs Charles (Mamie) Treiber of Danbury.
