Ella L Severson, 91, Sunrise Manor, died Wednesday, Aug 24, 1988, in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Morningside Lutheran Church. The Rev. Marvin Mueller and the Rev. Debra Bentgson-Brue of Moringside Lutheran Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with the family present from 7-9 p.m. in Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs Severson, the former Ella L Skow, was born Sept. 1, 1896, in Soldier, Iowa, where she was raised. She married Daniel Severson Sept. 29, 1915 in Soldier. The couple lived in Oakland, Neb before moving to Sioux City in 1920. He died March 7, 1960 in Sioux City. She married C.S. Severson in July 1966 in California. He died May 9, 1972 in Sioux City.

Mrs Severson was a longtime member of Morningside Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs William (Lois) Volkert of Cushing, Iowa, Mrs JoAnn Linsley of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs Dana Chidester of Gresham, Ore; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Willard "Bill" Severson who died Apr 26, 1960
