Last rites are held for Zora Edna Crabb, 70

Zora Edna Crabb, 70, Blencoe, passed away Jan. 30, at St Joseph hospital in Omaha after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb 2, at the R.L.D.S. church in Pisgah, with Elders Dean McHugh and Thomas Carritt officiating. The organist was Mrs. Robert Collison Jr, and soloist was Mrs. Fred Gibson. Casket bearers were Frederick Knudsen, Robert Collison Jr, Donald Comfort, Ronald Cutler, Kenneth Comfort and Larry Framke.Interment was in Little Sioux Cemetery, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.

She was born Dec. 8, 1914 at Pisgah, to Oscar and Velma Heistand Vredenburgh. She attended Pisgah Consolidated school for 12 years and was granduated in 1932. She was baptized June 28, 1925, in the R.L.D.S. church. Oct 3, 1935, ahe was united in marriage with Fay Crabb at the home of her parents near Pisgah. They farmed in the Little Sioux and Pisgah area until 1954, then moved to Blencoe and operated the C & P Market for 11 years. He passed away Nov. 30, 1979, at Onawa.

She was a life long member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and its Women's Fellowship. She was a member of the Blancoe Garden Club, 55 Plus Club, Senior Book Club and Community Betterment Committee. She also did volunteer work at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.

Survivors include one stepson, Eldred "Bill" Crabb of Goshen, Ohio; three stepdaughters, Mrs Charlene Niles of Pisgah, Mrs Earl (Dona) Perry of Blencoe and Mrs Max (Myrna) Sell of Fresno, Calif, one brother, Ray of Seattle, Wash; three sisters, Mrs Elmer (Ruby) Siebels of Pisgah, Mrs Manley (Susanna) Birks of Missouri Valley and Mrs Harold (Carrol) Boyer of Blencoe; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents;her husband, Fay: one sister, Vera Nelson and one brother, Rex Vredenburgh.
