Mapleton, Iowa--Nancy D Ernst, 47, of Littleton, Colo., formely of Mapleton, died Sunday, September 26, 1999, of a sudden illness, at the home of her sister in Marengo, Iowa.
Serives will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St Peter's United Church of Christ in Mapleton, with the Rev. Bob Fritzmeier officiating.
Burial will be in Mt Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.
Nancy Ernst was born Feb 4, 1952, at Sioux City, the daughter of Herbert and Juanita (Christensen) Ernst. She attended Maple Valley School and graduated in 1970. She received a doploma in nursing from St Luke's School of Nursing in SIoux City and received a BSN from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
For many years she was a traveling nurse, working in many states. She later settled in Littleton, where she had resided for 16 years. She was most recently employed as a nurse at University Hospital in Denver.
Survovors include her mother and father, Juanita and Martin Thies of Mapleton; a sister and her husband, Linda and Curtis Roesler of Marengo, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Bob and Celesta Ernest of Conifer, Colo; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
