Mrs. Lillian Johnson, Whiting, Iowa, passed away at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa on April 14, 1972. Death came at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 1 day.

She was born Lillian Grace Anderson on May 13, 1887 at Sloan, Iowa. She was a member of the Skein Lutheran Church at Albaton.

She worked at the SLoan post office for over 20 years and was a resident of the Sloan area until she married Roscoe U. Johnson May 8, 1958 at Onawa. They lived at Homer, Neb. until moving to Whiting in 1968.

Survivors include her husband, Roscoe of Whiting; one stepson, Keith Johnson of Hornick, Iowa; three step-daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Evelyn) Rasmussen, Petaluma, Calif., Mrs. Charles (Marjorie) Drickey, Chicago, Ill. and Mrs. Don (Maxine) Rhode, Emerson, Neb.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; many more relatives and friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 1972 at Skein Lutheran Church, Albaton, with the Rev. Donald Wilkowski officiating. Gilbert Smith sang, accompanied by Mrs. Jon Roarson. Casket bearers were Terry Hopkins, Monty Hopkins, Gerald Phipps, Robert Johnson, Dennis Rohde and Richard Gray. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Albaton with arrangements by the Wood Funeral Home of Whiting, Iowa.
