Paul Hall, 3200 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa, passed away at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa Saturday, March 4, 1972. He had been a patient in the hospital for two days. Death came at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 27 days.

He was born November 7, 1901 at Midland, Michagan, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Schledt Hall. The family moved to Nebraska where they made their home. They came to the Castana area about 1945, and Mr. Hall engaged in farming for a number of years.

For the past 20 years he has been employed at the St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines as custodian and maintenance man.

Survicors include two brothers, Otto Hall of Castana and Charles Hall of San Jose, California; a sister, Mrs. Louis (Anna) Mills of Onawa and 20 nieces and nephew's.

Preceded him in death were two brothers, August and Henry and a sister, Elizabeth.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, 1972 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Robert Hess officiating. Mrs. Edwin Mills sang "The Love of God," and "My Father Watches Me," accompanied by Mrs. Hess. Bearers were Terry Hall, Tom Hall, Fred Hall, Edwin Mills, James Kasper, Jr. and William Dauel, Jr.

Services were held at 2 p.m. at the Edensburg Lutheran Church, Malmo, Nebraska with Pastor Henry Trawny officiating assested by Robert Hess, Felix Martinson and Rev. Trawny sang, accompanied by Miss Irene Anderson. Interment was in Union Cemetery at Malmo with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
