Mrs. Josie Beall, a lifetime resident of Moorhead, passed away at the Elmwood Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 30, 1971 following a long illness. Death came at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 2 days.

She was born at Moorhead on March 28, 1883, the daughter of John and Sarilda Bailer.

On February 12, 1902, she was united in marriage with Frank L.Beal, who preceded her in death December 8, 1970.

She was a faithful member of the Moorhead Christian Church and was active in church affairs as long as she was able.

Survivors are one son, Cloyce Beall of Moorhead; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Nadine Beal of Moorhead.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Verl, and two grandsons, Roger and Rolland.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursdau, December 2, 1971 at the Moorhead Christian Church with the Rev. Dwight Walker officiating. Magnus Jepson sang, "How Great Thou Art," and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Mrs. Jepson. Mrs. Wayne Outhouse was the organist. Bearers were Voyle Blackman, Bus Ballantune, Loyle Kratz, John Wilson, Ervin Crews and Gale Winegar.

Interment was in Spring Vally Cemetery with arrangments by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
