6 April 1972Lloyd G. Caldwell was born November 23, 1889 at Little Sioux, Iowa and passed from this life in the Nursing Home in Turin, Iowa on March 21, 1972. Death came at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 28 days.
Mr. Caldwell chose farming as his vocation and spent his lifetime in this work. Ill health forced his retirement several years ago. He was a good honest hard working man and very much respected by all who knew him.
Survivors include his two sisters; Mrs. Lola Shultz of Onawa; and Mrs. Ralph Stewart of Tyndall, South Dakota; Three brothers; Arley of Columbus, Nebraska; Murrel of Little Sioux, Iowa; and Ernest of Hot Springs, South Dakota, there is a number of other relatives and host of friends.
Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 23, 1972 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Everett E. Epperson officiating. Mrs. Orland Ferris sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Clara Kelley at the organ.
Bearers were Dale Stewart, Don Stewart, Merl Shultz, Ernest Shultz, Orville Caldwell and Charles Caldwell. Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery at Magnolia, Iowa with arrangement by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
