Reba LaReta Hargroves was born July 8, 1918 at Storm Lake, Iowa and passed froim this life in the St.Luke Medical Center in Sioux City on May 2, 1972. Death came at the age of 53 years.

She was united in marriage with George Hargroves on March 6, 1946 at Dakota City, Nebraska. She has been a resident of Mapleton since the year of their marriage.

Survivors include her husband George of Mapleton; one daughter Miss Shirley Hargroves of South Sioux City, Neb.; and one brother Welcum Figley of Ida Grove, Iowa.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three infant children.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5, 1972 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with the Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Clara Kelly was the organist. Bearers were Emil Olson, Robert Rossow, Ares G. Dinesen, Earl Marsh, Richard Rhode and Eugene Banks. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Mapleton with arrangments by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
