Woodrow Howard Outhouse, a former resident of Onawa, passed away at a Cherokee, Iowa hospital on April 14, 1972 following a long illness. He had reached the age of 59 years, 4 months and 20 days.

He was born at Omaha, Nebr. on November 24, 1912, the son of the late Miles Outhouse and Caroline Anderson Outhouse. He was employed by the Northwestern railroad in this area for a number of years and for the past 8 years had been a resident of Sioux City, Iowa.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Caroline Outhouse of Onawa; two brothers, Lester Outhouse of Sioux City and Milo Outhouse of Fort Wayne, Ind. and a few other relatives.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 1972 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa, with the Rev. Gerald Gundersen officiating. Mrs. Dan Hyatt sang "Abide With Me" and "Nearer My God To Thee" accompanied by Clara Kelley.

Bearers were Hermann Giermann, Oscar Foss, Herold Fredrickson, Curt Hoffman, Casper Pohlman and Myrlin Lee. Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery with arrangments by the Pearson Funeral Home.
