Vina May Fly was born September 13, 1899 at Sloan, Iowa and passed from this life in the BUrgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa on March 27, 1972. Death came at the age of 72 years.
On May 4, 1929 she was united in marriage with Chester Fly in Billings, Montana. She had been a resident of this community for the past year.
Survivors include her husband Chester; one step-son Harold C. Fly of San Diego, California; one sister, Hazel Archer of Castana, Iowa, three brothers; Oscar Huntley and Frank Huntley both of Riverton, Wyo; and Charles Huntley of Onawa.
Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 1972 at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Everett E. Epperson officiating. Mrs. Orland Ferris sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied by Clara Kelley. Bearers were Dennis Poole, Duane Poole, William Broer, Donny Poole, Ted Archer and Gene Broer. Interment was in the Belvidere Cemetery at Turin, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
