MAPLETON, Iowa - Rosella A. Mohrhauser, 69, of Mapleton died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, in Mapleton.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a St. Mary's Guild rosary at 3 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mrs. Mohrhauser was born June 3, 1932, in Ute, Iowa, the daughter of Herman "Red" and Josephine Brummer. She attended school in Ute, St. Mary's in Mapleton and graduated from Mapleton High School in 1950. She attended St. Joseph's College of Nursing in Sioux City.

She married Richard Mohrhauser on Feb. 26, 1952, in Mapleton. She owned and operated a floral arts and hobby business in Renton, Wash., and managed a chiropractic clinic in Mount Vernon, Wash.

She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington, Wash. and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mapleton. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, playing cards and fishing.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters and their husbands, Roxanne and Robert Ruth of Moline, Ill., Mary and Thomas Wright of Mapleton and Anne Marie and Blaine Whyte of Moreno Valley, Calif.; nine grandchildren, David Kopp, Elizabeth, Leslie, Sarah, Josie and Trisha Ruth, Courtney and Hillary Whyte, and Nicole Marie Wright; a brother and his wife, Roland "Bud" and Karen Brummer of Rapid City, S.D.; five sisters, Ruth and her husband, Maury Condit of Saratoga, Calif., Retha Revak of Pleasanton, Calif., Rosena and her husband, Ted Jonas of Sedro Woolley, Wash., Ramona and her husband, George Zediker of Burlington, Wash., and Alice Armstrong of Lynchburg, Va.; five sisters-in-law, Ann Pithan of Danbury, Iowa, Maggie Pollock of Tucson, Ariz., Adeline Mohrhauser and Bernadine Mohrhauser, both of Danbury, and Mary Mohrhauser of Cresco, Iowa; and three brothers-in-law, Bernard Mohrhauser and his wife, Ellie, of Danbury, Raymond Mohrhauser and his wife, Jean, of Le Mars, Iowa, and Al Shell of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody; a son, Timothy; her parents; a brother, Charles Ray Brummer; four sisters-in-law, Jennie Shell, Ollie Collins, Lucy Mohrhauser and Deanie Conners; nine brothers-in-law, Louis Collins, Leo Conners, Emmett, George, Albert and Charles Mohrhauser, Melvin Pithan, Doc Pollock and Walter Revak; and several nieces and nephews.
