MAPLETON, Iowa - Frieda Martha Krumm, 98, of Mapleton died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, with the Rev. John Schaller officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Adair, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Krumm was born Feb. 1, 1903, in Goodthunder, Minn., the daughter of Emil and Mathilda (Schultz) Rosin. She attended school in the Goodthunder area.

She married Otto August Krumm on June 29, 1927, in Des Moines. The couple lived in the Jefferson, Iowa area and then briefly in Whitewright, Texas and Topeka, Kan. They retired and moved to Mapleton in 1973. Her husband died Jan. 23, 1982.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Marcia and Raymond Steinbach of Bullhead City, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Bobbie Nutt, Dawn Baldwin and John Dreher; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emily Weidman of Irvine, Calif., and Sally Thew of Minneapolis; a brother and his wife, Arna and Marjorie Rosin of Minneapolis; three stepgrandchildren, Eric, Peter and Perry Steinbach; eight great-stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsa Brotz; and four brothers, Harry, Ted, Alvin and Leanard Rosin.
