MOORHEAD, Iowa - Billie Ray Hebb, 72, of Moorhead died Monday, June 25, 2001, in Sioux City.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. today at Community of Christ Church (RLDS) in Pisgah, Iowa. Private graveside services will be in Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Iowa Cremation Society.

Mr. Hebb was born March 24, 1929, Pisgah, the son of Rex and Ruth (Hunt) Hebb. He attended Hebb Country School and graduated from Pisgah High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed in Alaska and Delaware.

He married Ruby Jean Longlee on Aug. 7, 1955, in Soldier, Iowa.

He was employed with Griffith Transfer in Pisgah. He began farming the family farm in 1954 and continued until his retirement in 1984. The couple moved to Moorhead in 2000.

He was a member of the Masons, Moorhead American Legion and Community of Christ Church. He was a former member of West Harrison board of education. He enjoyed playing cards, shooting pool and hunting.

Survivors include his wife; his mother of Pisgah; a son, Brian of Red Oak, Iowa; two daughters, Dixie Norris of Kansas City, Mo., Deb Kuhlmann of Ute, Iowa; six grandchildren, Andrew and Alana Allen, Lacey Moroney, Korey Kuhlmann, and Chelsea and Ciara Hebb; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce, and his father.
