MAPLETON, Iowa -- Connie Moat, 75, of Mapleton died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton, with the Rev. Dr. Scott Fiege officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Connie L. Moat was born May 6, 1932, at Mapleton, Iowa, the daughter of Leo Dean Sr. and Ruth Mae (Wittenmyer) Dean. She grew up in the Mapleton area and graduated from Mapleton High School with the class of 1949. She then resided in the Mapleton, Sloan and Sioux City areas, working as an L.P.N. for various nursing homes.

Those family members left to cherish the memory of Connie include a grandson, Corey Price; a granddaughter and her husband, Caree and Mike Olson, a great-granddaughter, Rylee Olson; a great-grandson, Jared Olson; a son-in-law, Mike Price, all of Mapleton; a son, Kim Rubendall; a brother and his wife, Leo and Kathy Dean, also of Mapleton; and three sisters and their husbands, Shirley and John Schoenherr of Ida Grove, Iowa, Susan and Louis Hargens of Ricketts, Iowa, and Judy and Joe King of Bronson, Iowa; along with numerous other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathee Price; and a sister, Norma Plough
