ONAWA, Iowa -- Todd Archer, 26, of Onawa died Thursday, July 12, 2007, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near DeKalb, Ill.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Onawa, with the Rev. Rusty Hedger officiating. Burial will be in Whiting City Cemetery at Whiting, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Todd Thomas Archer was born Feb. 13, 1981, in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Rick and Cherri (Richardson) Archer. He attended West Monona Schools and graduated from West Monona High School in 1999. After high school, he went on to receive his bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., where he majored in computer science and minored in agriculture.

After college, Todd helped manage Team Electronics in Onawa, worked as a computer engineer at Lockheed-Martin at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha and Westendorf Manufacturing Company in Onawa. He was currently employed as a computer engineer with John Deere Corporation in DeKalb, Ill.

Todd loved farming, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Rick and Cherri Archer of Onawa; two brothers, Chris Archer and his wife, Jackie of Sioux City, and Cody Archer of Onawa; grandparents, Dorothy Archer of Whiting, and Tom and Marlene Richardson of Onawa; great-grandmothers, Esther Richardson of Whiting, and Evelyn Reed of Onawa; several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends; and a special friend, Abby Gray of Onawa.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Archer
