Edison McClellan
ONAWA, Iowa -- Edison "Ed" McClellan of Onawa died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Omaha following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa. There will be no visitation or burial.

Ed was born March 26, 1926, in Rodney, Iowa, the son of Walter and Elizabeth (Gruber) McClellan.

Survivors include his wife, Irene of Onawa; a son, Larry (Deb) McClellan of Alta, Iowa; a daughter, Pam (Kurt) Crews of Omaha; six grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) McClellan of Cherokee, Iowa, Zachariah McClellan of Cherokee, Michelle (Alan) Axelson of Aurelia, Iowa, Jeremiah (Toni) McClellan of Schaller, Iowa, Tempestt McClellan of Alta, Iowa, and Heather Kruse of Omaha; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, Brock, Keiffer and Baylee Axelson of Aurelia, Iowa, and Samantha, Haley and Jefferey McClellan of Schaller, Iowa; and a sister, Hilda Lorenzen of Onawa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Anna Johnson, Mary Alice Decker and Leona Heller; two brothers, John and James McClellan; and a granddaughter, Inga McClellan.
