MOORHEAD, Iowa -- Evelyn D. Seaton, 91, of Dunlap, Iowa, formerly of Moorhead and Soldier, Iowa, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Moorhead Christian Church, with the Rev. Ron Keith officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Iowa.
Evelyn was born July 23, 1916, in Soldier, the daughter of Even and Emelia (Amundson) Ulven. She graduated from Soldier High School in 1936.
On Jan. 23, 1940, she married Stanley Earl Seaton in Moorhead. They made their home in Soldier and Moorhead. Mr. Seaton died June 30, 1974, in Moorhead. She was a resident of Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa from 2000 to 2006. She had been a resident of Dunlap Nursing and Rehab Center since then.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Seaton of Wilberly, Texas; several brothers and sisters including Cora Howard of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and an infant son, Charles Edwin.
