Moorhead, Iowa—Betty Knoff, 71, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Moorhead, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Spring Valley Cemetery, rural Moorhead with the Rev. Carla Johnsen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Betty Ellen Knoff was born October 3, 1936, on a farm west of Moorhead, the daughter of Andrew and Ellen (Johnson) Knoff. She attended a rural school and later graduated from Moorhead High School. She also attended Dana College in Blair, Nebr., for one year.

She lived with her parents in Moorhead until she moved to Elmwood Care Centre in 1978, where she spent her remaining days.

She is survived by three aunts, Velma Johnson of El City, Okla., Ethel Johnson of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Doris Nelson of Racine, Wis., and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa or the charity of your choice.
